Martin,
Two minor quibbles:
First, are you certain about "Julii"? I have always understood that the
name of the month was given in adjectival form to modify the segment
thereof (here, the Kalends); thus: "octavo kalendas Julias".
Second, when you say "25 December (octavo kalendas Julii)" do you mean,
instead, "25 December (octavo kalendas Januarias)"?
