Hi Slawa,
I stand by my words.
The endless discussions surely took place. But they were not about my theory,
but on whether or not we should discuss theory at all. Usually people withdrew
if I would not follow _their_ thought; but I never could get them to seriously
listen to an outline of my critique, nor of my approach - such that my
discussion partners would no longer just repeat the outline of the approach they
know, but they would actually start to look at the approach I offer, and be able
to weigh one concept against the other. This includes you. You have so far not
asked a question with regard to my approach.
There was a serious exchange of emails with F.L. after our last meeting in
March. We stopped because I could not convince him that an equation of motion
is useless in the attempt to understand a change of state. The closest to what I
call a serious discussion was reached when I gave a full seminar talk in
Goettingen 1998. But once again, it was a monologue; there never was a single
word of response by those who were especially invited because of their
experience.
Slawa, take one of the 8 questions I offered, and address it. If you do that, we
can get someplace.
Falk
