Digitisation Solutions: Strategies in Practise

The conference will address the main issues involved in running a
successful project, with the aim of imparting advice that will make
projects more productive and more cost effective. It is aimed at anyone
already running a digitisation project or digital library as well as anyone
planning such an initiative.
A series of practical papers spanning projects from Higher Education and
the public sector as well as information from experts in the field will
combine to produce a day that will be lively, interesting and above all useful.
The topics to be explored include:- Running a successful multi-partner
project - The importance of strategy and planning
- Digitising audio and moving images
- Maximising productivity through careful workflow design
- Integrating data and metadata for delivery and preservation
- Promotion of the digitised product
- Going beyond the project, finding funds to carry on
