medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
This really is Miriam Gill's field - are you out there, Miriam? But we have
both been working on links between visual imagery, liturgy and memory, the
way in which a visual image can trigger memory of liturgical passages or
can link with reminders to pray for dead patrons of the church. Miriam's
work is more specifically on the role of emotion in stimulating and
reinforcing memory.
