Have you mastered basic Web design but would like to develop your skills
further? Then you need:
Creating pages for the WWW: the next step
A one day Library Association workshop on 6 June, in London
Discover how to incorporate the Web page features, which lift a Web site
from the simplest format, to something more interesting and more useful both
to 'readers' and an organisation.
Benefits from attending
The day will be packed full of helpful 'hints and tips', and 'do's and
don'ts' on Web site management in relation to the features and functions
outlined in the programme.
By the end of the event participants will have:
* explored the key issues involved in creating a good Web site
* looked at how to effectively manage information on a Web site
* discovered how to design Web pages that include 'forms', 'animated
gifs', 'frames' and other advanced features or functions.
Features
This workshop includes practical hands-on exercises with Hot Metal Pro which
illustrates similar functions that can be found in Dreamweaver and Front
Page Web packages. There will be illustrations of Web pages to enhance the
points being made.
This workshop is not for those wishing to use scripts to create and
implement their own CGI applications.
Who will benefit from attending?
Those responsible for creating Web pages within their organisation, those
who have already mastered the basic Web design skills who wish to develop
their skills further or those who have previously attended the 'Creating
Pages for the WWW - Getting Started' workshop.
