Dear Jaqui,
Sounds like an assemblage that I have from the upper Cam at Cambridge,
where the M11 crosses. Lots of humans, Bronze Age to Iron Age sized
cattle, and a few Bos prim. C14 dates on these bones about 7500 b.c.
(Bos prim) and 2000 b.c. (horse). So well worked over by the current.
Preservation good, colour almost black through to brown, so probably
much mixture in removal as well. The humans are mostly limb bones and
some unfused skull bones. I think that there was a short account in
Proc. Camb Antiquarian. Soc., for 1982.
Tony.
