1. Assistant Librarian: Information Skills Training (Secondment cover -
fixed term for two years)

Applications are invited for this key role leading and developing an
innovative site-wide programme of training in the use of the full range
of learning and information resources provided by the Medical Library.
Duties also include providing significant input to the information
skills training programme that is delivered as part of the undergraduate
medical curriculum.
We are seeking a professionally qualified graduate librarian with two or
more years' post-qualification experience in an academic, medical or
scientific library or other relevant experience. Experience of
delivering information skills training to staff or students is required.
Candidates should demonstrate a high level of skills in information
retrieval and information management and in finding, evaluating and
using health and medical information, both printed and electronic.
Excellent IT and presentation skills are also essential. Experience of
designing training resources and developing Web-based materials is
highly desirable.
Salary will be AR1/2 range, #19,585 - #28,363 inclusive of London
Allowance per annum. In addition the post attracts a generous leave
allowance and superannuation benefits.

Applications are invited for this exciting new role assisting in the
development of services from the Medical Library in support of clinical
and research governance initiatives site-wide. The postholder will build
on existing services and links and will be expected to develop these
further.
We are seeking a professionally qualified graduate librarian with two or
more years' post-qualification experience in the provision of health and
medical library and information services. The successful candidate will
demonstrate a high level of skills in information retrieval and
information management and in finding, evaluating and using health and
medical information, both printed and electronic. Knowledge of the wide
range of resources available to support effective clinical practice is
also essential. Excellent interpersonal and IT skills are required. Some
experience of developing information guides and delivering information
skills training is highly desirable.
Salary will be AR1 range, #19,412 - #21,427 per annum inclusive of
London Allowance. In addition the post attracts a generous leave
allowance and superannuation benefits.
