Hi
1) did you also download the fsl-redhat 6/7 distribution? If so, all
necessary binaries are already included and should also work on
slackware.
If not, fsl needs tcl/tk (>v8.3) installed. If your distribution comes
with tcl/tk, you can just symlink the binaries to $FSLDIR/bin/ If that
doesn't work, you should recompile tcl/tk/tix. There is nothing
preventing you from having two tcl/tk/tix versions installed on your
system, the --prefix=$FSLDIR configure option will make sure that your
tcl/tk shipped with your distribution is not affected.
2) can you let us know what exactly you tried to do. If you want to
generate a 4D avw file from file1 file2 and file3 say the correct
command(s) are
avwmerge -t output file*.hdr
or
avwmerge -t output file*.img
If you forget the file ending (.hdr or .img) the new 4D file output will
have 6 volumes instead of just 3 volumes. It seems, however, that you're
talking about a different problem. Can you please check if the 3D files
are OK (i.e. do 'slices filename -s 3' and check the individual header
files 'avwhd filename').
You can also download fsl-feeds, the FSL evaluation and example data
suite and ./RUN it to see if everything works on your system.
If that does not provide a clue, is it possible for you to provide a
download link to some of those files and we will try to sort it out.
thanks
Christian
