At Sheffield we are looking again at transcript design in the light of the
latest QAA statement on progress files and transcripts. The issue of
authentication has arisen and I would be very interested in hearing views
from colleagues on the merits of using, for example:
Watermarked paper
Security paper (eg sheets which are photocopy-proof)
Holograms
Embossing/seals, etc
Pre-printed signatures
Original signatures
Stamps of various sorts
Serial numbers
or any other methods you might employ for the purposes of authenticating
your transcripts. Given the subject of this request, it is perhaps best if any
replies come direct to me and I will post a summary to the list in due
course.
Thanks for your assistance.
