I agree.
Hyperlinking is a much friendlier approach than "I'm an expert system". Hyperlinking can offer content that is contextual to the report, request or clinical scenario, and appropriate in size and detail to the users' needs.
We had a good discussion of this at the ibc Pathology Modernisation meeting in London yesterday.
