But "limited" does not mean "linear" only "constrained within a certain
order or arraingment".
And a cyclical order is an order that contrains into a cycle. Therefore
that a religion has a cyclical order of chronology would lead me to suppose
an eschatology of some kind exists.
But we are digressing into philosophy of Religion rather than Medieval
Religion.
