Trial Administrator
APPLE - Assessment of the Prevention of Pulmonary embolism and deep
venous thrombosis using Low molecular weight hEparin
Academic-related research scale 1B £16,775 - £21,435
Applications are invited for a full time Trial Administrator to act as
the central contact person for the APPLE pilot study. APPLE investigates
the use of heparin prophylaxis for the prevention of pulmonary embolism
and deep venous thrombosis in pregnant women. The postholder will be
expected to liaise with collaborating centres to ensure the smooth
running of the study and maintain administrative systems for the study.
Candidates should have experience of word processing, particularly
Microsoft Word, data management and data entry. Excellent communication
skills and experience of working on a trial or in medical research are
also essential requirements for this post. As the position will involve
presentations to clinicians in centres thoughout the UK, experience of
public speaking and willingness to travel are necessary. The position
is full time for 12 months.
