Is this suggesting that Bernward made the bronze doors and spiral
column at Hildesheim? If he didn't make them is there other extant work
attributed to him? Since I have always considered him a patron of the
arts rather than "artist" I would appreciate knowing where he is
recorded as being a "fine metal-worker." What are the sources?
