Thomas,
it sounds as though you have made a decision to talk about
some definitions which create some real problems for a lot
of people who are the focus of the definitions. I can
appraciate that if you have been given a task you will wish
to do it justice. I hope you can also recognise you have an
opportunity to let your class know that some things in life
are not as cut and dried as experts would like us to
believe, that experts can promote ideas that lead to real
hurt for people and that the people who suffer
discrimination as a consequence of expert opinions have a
wholeload of rights to be safeguarded from the difficulties
which most of society dumps in their face. Good luck in
your presentation and I wish you honesty in the choice you
make about how to represent people
