Caroline Walker Bynum (in Holy Feast, Holy Fast) mentions
several texts wherein people are described as swelling as if pregnant
with Christ: see pp. 202-4, where Dorothy of Montau and Ida of Louvain
are discussed.
Caesarius of Heisterbach described a priest who became
pregnant with Christ at the consecration: see Bynum, p. 257 where this,
and other similar instances are discussed.
See also p. 406 n. 48, where Bynum makes reference to Hadewijch's
'extended allegory of the soul pregnant with Christ'.
Best wishes,
