I would start with Innocent III, Proposuisti [X 3.40.4], on "reconciling"
churches poluted by homicide or blood letting. The canons in the Decretum
in the tract De consecratione make not mention I could find of such a
practice. Later, Boniface VIII's canon Si ecclesoam [VI 3.21.un] mentions
poluttion with blood or semen.
