I have to agree whole-heartedly with Bella Millett's note! I hate to sound like a
curmudgeon, but I too have begun to feel overwhelmed by the 'casual chat' and the
jokiness, especially when I have to scroll through a lengthy quoted message to see a
one-liner at the bottom. Even labelling complete tangents as such (many groups ask
people to add "OT" for "OFF TOPIC" to subject lines where relevant) would be a help.
