To Wendy Reardon:
I don't have a better suggestion than interrogator, but where in the world is
Spookyworld?

Subject: Torturers
Dear Esteemed List Members,
I have recently landed a job at Spookyworld (it's actually a very big place
geared toward serious horror (not for small kids or the faint-hearted) as
the Medieval Torture Curator, which means that I get to dress up in medieval
torture garb (they aren't as accurate with the costuming as they are with
the proper information) and explain to upwards of 9,000 people (on a busy
night during the Halloween season) how some of the torture devices of the
13th and 14th century worked. I've got all kinds of scholarly and accurate
information on that...but I seem to remember a distinct name for those who
did the torturing (other than torturer), since the Inquisitors themselves
didn't actually torture people.
[etc.]
