LATEST NEWS ON THE CALL (PEOPLE'S NETWORK) ALLOCATIONS
Public library authorities across the UK are currently being informed by
the New Opportunities Fund of their funding allocations which will be used
to implement the People's Network infrastructure. Authorities that have not
yet received this information will do so over the next day or so.
Allocations for library services in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
have been determined in partnership with Resource: the Council for Museums,
Archives and Libraries. Those for Scotland have been determined in
partnership with COSLA, the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities and
SLIC, the Scottish Library and Information Council.
Following the announcement of allocations, authorities will be required to
submit People's Network implementation plans (PN2 forms) which will state
how each authority intends to spend its funding allocation. PN2 forms are
currently being distributed by the New Opportunities Fund.
