Thanks for the reference. The author of the text, the miracles of St.
Ouen, is pretty clear that Nicholas was abbot and commissioned the work;
the Bollandists identify him as acceding to the abbatial office in 1042,
but provide no other information about him.
I will check out the Rèpertoire when I'm in Chicago later in the month.
