I have long been interested in why our species adopted particular forms of
behavior. What were the physical and environmental forces which led to these
evolutionary and behavioral changes? How did that environment differ from our
environment today? I believe that many of our most serious problems come from
a poor understanding of our origins. A better understanding of these forces
can help us minimize the conflicts brought about by our species changing from
a wild animal to a domesticated animal. And help us design better tools.
