Greetings,
During slow periods at my workplace, I've often spent time at a website
called Bibliomania.
It contains a full Webster's 1910 English Dictionary, which I find
interesting to peruse.
>From this site, I found a link to online books. Picking one merely based on
the name, I began
to read Stalky & Co. and I've been a Kipling devotee ever since. I now
regularly bid on old
editions of his works, at online auction sites. Unfortunately, all that I've
discovered
about purchasing actual books from actual bookshops here, is that even in a
big city like
Philadelphia, the selection is sparse. I did find a handsome antique
edition of "The Light That Failed"
which is now among my most prized posessions.
Among the many aspects of his writing I admire most are his descriptions
of competency and
craftsmanship.
I don't think it's a falsehood to say that I will indeed read everything
I possibly can find that
has been written by this man.
Respectfully,
Paul A. Iannello
