Dear colleagues,
I've been 'in transit' lately, and have just ended up in Toronto, where I've
had the first chance to consult accumulated e-mails for some time. I think
Stephen's proposal is wonderful; the usual meeting place, restaurant and
time are fine. I shall TRY to be there on time, but as I'm not sure about my
transportation arrangements I may be late (indeed, I may not be able to
arrive until Thursday morning). But regardless, let all list members
hungering for intellectual and culinary fellowship meet as Stephen suggests:
Wednesday 3 May, 8.00 pm, Eldridge-Fox lobby, proceeding to Mi Ranchito
If I don't meet you at the medieval-religion dinner, I'm hoping to see many
of you at the various meetings noted on the list. I feel it only appropriate
to recall three of these meetings, given special connections to this list:
The University of Bristol Centre for Medieval Studies reception:
8:30 p.m., Valley I, Britton Lounge, Thursday 4 May
The Hagiography Society Business Meeting with Buffet Luncheon:
12 Noon, Valley I Dining Room, Friday 5 May
International Medieval Sermon Studies Society Business Meeting with Buffet
Luncheon:
12 Noon, Valley I Dining Room, Saturday 6 May
(not to mention the Italianists meeting, and the others mentioned on this
list to date)
And please, do not forget to circle these sessions (attending them would be
nice, too)...
