I don't know about Boyle's address at Leeds, but I remember reading some
years ago a piece by him challenging the concept of "popular religion". I
don't remember the title, but it can certainly be found in
_A distinct voice : medieval studies in honor of Leonard E. Boyle, O.P._
(Notre Dame: University of Notre Dame Press, 1997)
which has a bibliography of Boyle's publications.
