Discover how to implement a successful mentoring scheme in your organisation
by attending:
Managing mentoring
A one day workshop on 10 May, at LAHQ, in London
At its best, mentoring is a mutually developmental, long-term,
cost-effective means of significantly accelerating development. True mentors
are rare, that is why they are so obvious and in demand. It is possible to
find, develop and guide people to perform this role, but it takes a great
deal of care and sensitivity, as it is too easy to replicate, and not learn
from the mistakes of others.
How will this event help you?
This workshop summarises the learning from the considerable experience,
research and literature that mentoring has spawned over more than 2000
years. Drawing on the workshop leaders' own learning and experiences, you
will gain a very worthwhile insight into what takes to mentoring work.
By the end of the day you will be able to:
* explain the roles and personal competences of real mentoring demands
* summarise how to introduce and implement an organised mentoring
scheme, avoiding many pitfalls
* advise on how to get the most from mentoring, and how to guide the
development of mentors
* more consciously use the wisdom of those who can help you develop,
and in turn, help others to learn
Who will benefit from attending?
Anyone keen to learn more about how to get the most from mentoring, and
particularly how to introduce an organised scheme successfully.
