Dear List Members,
A few time ago I visited the website of Fr. Symeon Elias and found several
so-called "Western Orthodox Liturgies". Amongst the restored Gallican Rite
(which is indeed a true Western Orthodox Liturgy), I found also
a so-called "Celtic" (entitled "Celtic Rite of the Diocese of the Holy
Orthodox Catholic Church") and a praesantified Liturgy under the title
"Servant's Communion Liturgy". It seems that these two "liturgies" are
personal creations of Fr. Symeon Elias since I didn't found any reference in
my different books on Western Rites.
Does anybody knows if these rites are used only by Fr. Symeon Elias (who
claim to be a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church), or if these rites
have been approved by a competent ecclesiastical authority.
I post this question on the list, since Fr. Symeon Elias didn't replied to
any of my e-mails on that topic in the past.
Thanks,
Stefaan R.W. VERMEIRE
