Subject: Analysis of bone tissue
Greetings, everyone!
A palaeontological colleague has requested help in finding references to
physical and chemical analysis of bone tissue. He is studying taphonomy of
Tertiary mammals and wishes to complement the study of external or gross
structural changes with an investigation of chemical or microstructural
change. If anyone out there is familiar with publications of procedures for
physical and chemical analysis of bone tissue, and of discussion of their
value in the study of diagenetic change, information on such would be
gratefully received.
Regards,
Tony.
