Applications are invited for an Assistant Librarian to join a small team
within the Joint Library of the Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields
Eye Hospital NHS Trust. Responsibilities will include user education,
support for the electronic information services, cataloguing and reader
enquiry work. The successful applicant will have at least two years
professional experience working in a medical library, have a good working
knowledge of library applications and of IT, together with excellent
interpersonal skills, a flexible, accurate and friendly approach,
supervisory experience, and a recognised qualification in Library and
Information Science.
The Assistant will be required to work one evening duty until 6pm once a week.
Starting salary will be on the Academic Related Grade 1/2 pay scale between
spine points 4 -13 (16,286 to £24,479) plus £2,134 London Allowance per
annum, depending on experience.
