query = I am researching the ancestory of crested poultry (polish
chickens) and have read that artifacts have been discovered at a Roman
dig at Uley, Gloucestershire quite recently. Primarily a scull of a
crested fowl very similar to the birds today. Also statues of fowl with
crests (topknots) have been found among ancient Roman ruins.
I require any information on these findings including pictures, dates
and explanations. Please can you direct me?
I would be much in your dept.
Kindest regards
Edan
