Hi Jess,
Villages in the Auvergne, central France often have the old cattle 'shoeing
stations' (for want of a more techincal term) still in place. I have a
postcard of one in operation - any use? We also found discarded cattle
shoes while fieldwalking in the area - John Collis may just have one!
