Dear all,
I have finally subscribed to psci-com last night (I have been meaning to
do it for ages). I have probably already met a few of you and some may
even know my situation. Sorry about repeating myself...
I have completed a PhD in microbiology in Bristol last year, but having
been drawn for several years to the field of Science Communication and
"PUS", I don't intend to pursue a research career. I have been involved
in a wide range of initiatives, including the production of a science
video for deaf children filmed at Techniquest in Cardiff (Millennium
Award). I am now looking for a full-time challenging position in science
communication. In the meantime, I am working part-time to support the
Bristol Teacher-Scientist Partnership Network (organized by the Clifton
Scientific Trust) and I am writing an article for a French science
Magazine (Oh, yes...I am French by the way!)...
Those who know me will verify that I am hard-working and full of
enthusiasm...
I am part of the BA, I thought I was part of BIG and I will shortly
become part of STEMPRA...
Now to the point... I would greatly appreciate your help. I would be
very grateful for any comment on my CV (attached), for any
advice/suggestion for my jobhunt...
Also does anybody know of a similar mailing-list for France, or do you
have any contact with people there who could give me advice as to the
situation in the field in France?
If you do know of any hidden job opportunity (never mind the place if
it's a good job), I would really appreciate the tip.
Thanks a million in advance.
Best wishes,
Nathalie Caplet
