The Ph.D. Design list now strips headers with the return address of the sender.
The Reply-To is defaulted to Ph.D. Design. This makes it impossible to respond
directly to the sender of a post without writing to all members of the list.
May I request that subscribers set an email sig so that other subscribers may
respond directly to the writer of a post when it is appropriate to do so ?
Most emailers -- f.ex. Eudora, Microsoft Outlook, etc. -- have a sig function
that will automatically insert a sig at the end of the outgoing post. (See
below.)
Some, like Eudora, even let you choose a standard sig and one or more
alternates
for use with different accounts or for different purposes.
It would be helpful to subscribers if you set a sig with your name, email
address
and any other information you deem relevant. (This post is signed with my
alternate sig, showing home office where I am working these days.)
