Here follows a request for proposals from the IABC Research Foundation. The
projects seem to cover issues that may be interesting to some of you. These
issues can be approached from a design perspective. I'm sending this out
with the hope that it will prove useful to some of you.
The funds are denominated in USD, but the foundation is international and
the call is not limited by citizenship or residency.

IABC projects
The IABC Research Foundation is pleased to invite you to respond to three
new Request for Proposals. The RFPs are available on our website,

Below are summary descriptions of the RFP topics.
Intangible Assets US $20,000 This study will assess the relationship
between intangible assets - ideas, relationships, knowledge, people,
networks, patents, common goals, goodwill - and communication. The final
report will offer analysis and a diagnostic tool on applying this knowledge
to organizational communication.
Virtual Work Force US $10,000 This literature review and assessment will
explore the virtual work force and its affect on organizational
communication. It will examine which communication processes and methods
are most effective in a virtual work force.
Communication Research Primer US $10,000 A primer on how to perform
communication research, this report will include best practice examples,
techniques, tools and analysis; practical, easy-to-follow models of
research; and skill-related guidance on integrating research as a critical
part of a communication project.
