Dear Colleagues,
Please DO NOT send attachments to PhD-Design.
Mailbase policy is that attachments are not permitted
in posts to lists such as this.
Because Mailbase serves some small lists and some
fee-paying lists, the facility that permits attachments
has not been disabled.
Nevertheless, the policy is clear and we should respect
it.
In general, I will also note that opening attachments is
the way viruses are spread. You cannot get a virus
from an email. You can get one from an attachment.
It is my policy never to open an attachment from
any sender not known to me personally, and even
when I do know the sender, I am careful unless the
attachment is sent on from a trusted system.
Any text that can be sent in an attachment can be
posted to the list in plain text ascii. While charts and
diagrams can't be posted, words can.
Long posts, essays and texts are welcome here. Just
place the title in the subject header, and preface a
long post with a short summary or introduction so
readers know what it contains.
May I suggest that Jivan Astfalck repost his essay
"Tacita Dentata" in the body of an email?
Best regards,
