Hi, Tom:
Do you remember hearing a paper I gave at the American Folklore
Society meeting in Pittsburgh four or five years ago called "The
Anglo/American Catalogue Song"?
I'm going to be publishing a full-length version of it that includes
a text from Robin Morton's 1970 book _Folksongs Sung in Ulster_. The
book lists him, not Mercier Press, as the copyright holder; would you
by any chance have a postal or e-mail address for him so that I can
seek permission to reproduce? If not, could you put me onto someone
who might be able to help me contact him?
Hope everything's going well with you. Cully and I are in fairly
good health and spirits. We've just returned from a three-week
motor-tour of western Ontario and lower Michigan looking for a
summer-retirement spot. Spent a couple of days visiting the
Syndergaards in Kalamazoo.
Hope the IBC 1999 proceedings aren't causing you too much grief (and
hope that you received my "Servant Problem" contribution--sent last
fall--safely). I begin summer teaching next week and won't be going
to Bucharest, but Cully and I certainly expect to make it to IBC 2001.
With all best wishes
Roger
