Dear colleagues
I'd be grateful to know what policies other places have about
allowing temporarily withdrawn students continued access to
university computing service facilities during their period of
temporary withdrawal (i.e. access to email, internet, network/PC
applications etc). Temporarily withdrawn status most commonly
meaning that the student is taking a specified period out of study
for medical/personal reasons, or has to resit exams "without
residence".
Does anyone restrict or even prohibit access or do your students
maintain the same degree of access as they would have if they
were fully registered? If access is restricted, what is the rationale
for this?
Any comments gratefully received. As is customary, I'll post a
summary of replies to the mailbase for anyone interested.
