Dear colleagues
It's the summer vacation and I suspect that like others Oxford
Brookes is looking at the structure of its academic year. It would
be very helpful if colleagues could answer the following two
questions:
a) does anyone else have a modular programme structure that operates
on the basis of 8 or 9 teaching weeks per term with modules being
assessed at the end of each term?
b) does anyone have an undergraduate programme in which Level 1
assessments are on the basis of pass/fail only, rather than
grades/marks?
We're compiling a sector-wide survey on the structure of the academic
year and would be happy to share the findings with anyone
who is interested. Comments to me please in the first instance.
Many thanks in advance
