Hi Emma,

Our suppliers program all the tags on our new stock for us and the cost is only a few pence per item. I think all suppliers can break the cost down for you.

We also can program in house if need be and use the 2CQR staff workstation software with a RFID reader we bolt under desks. Cost effective solution that has worked well on XP, 7 and 10. Haven't bought one for a while so you would need to get a quote but I know we had the option to install and fit ourselves which saved money.

Hope this helps.

Regards Leo

Subject: [LIS-EUR-IUG] Programming RFID tags

Dear all,

We currently programme our RFID tags in house using the pads previously purchased from 3M. We are not sure if these will work with windows 10 so are looking at our options. New staff workstations for tag programming seem to be working out quite expensive so I would be interested to know from you all:

1. Do you get your suppliers to programme your tags for you? If so is it part of the processing cost or an extra cost per tag?

2. If you programme in house what do you use for the tag programming and which staff are responsible for the tag programming?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
Regards
Emma
