Dear colleagues,
This is unmissable -- TOMORROW!
Donal Foreman Workshop: The Image You Missed
Wednesday 3 April 15:00-17:00
Birkbeck Cinema, 43 Gordon Square, London, WC1H 0PD
In this special workshop, Donal Foreman will discuss the making of The Image You Missed (2017), his highly personal essay film about Northern Ireland, refracted through the films of his father, Arthur MacCaig.
Foreman will present clips from some of the 21 versions of the film, constructed over a two year period out of over 100 hours of archival material, and discuss the challenges of balancing the film's diverse formal and narrative elements. He will also share excerpts from his notes and outlines of the film and break down a scene from the completed film.
The event is free and open to all, and you can book here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/donal-foreman-workshop-the-image-you-missed-tickets-58639685879
