Presumably the people to ask are:
(a) Professor David Bates (University of Glasgow) who is supervising
someone who is working in that general area (though I think more
widely than just the earldom of Hereford)
(b) Professor Robert Paterson (University of South Carolina) who I
think is about to launch into something on the earldom of H. after
having done the earldom of Gloucester and quite a few of the
Gloucester abbey charters. Since the earls of H. were principally
interested in Gloucestershire rather than Herefordshire this would be
a logical step
(c) Canon David Walker himself. I'm afraid I don't have an address
for him, but you will get one by referring to (d) below
(d) Professor Rees Davies (All Souls, Oxford)

My supervisor mentioned that someone was working on the charters of the
earldom of Hereford. Does anyone know of this person or could they point me
in the direction of someone who may know? I working from the 1960s edition
and would be interested to know it more charters have surfaced since this
was published.
Thanks in advance
