software for teaching/testing in numeracy has just been
made available for free download for the educational community.

The THINKS suite of software is mathematical software written
in Question Mark for Windows designed to help students from
semi/non-numerate disciplines to improve their numeracy key skill.
It's authored by Alan Heslington from the University of Northumbria
at Newcastle, under the Capabil-IT-y project led by the University
of North London.
There are questions on 15 topics including estimation, measures,
fractions, decimals, averages and simple algebra.
