Would you think it probable that discussions like this led to various
interpretations of the books of the Bible? Paul says long hair is a
'shame' for a man, but historically people have created images of
Christ, w/long hair, according to our own preferences and predilections.
Is there really a Biblical basis for 'creating God in our own image' that
would
allow us to label this 'good theology'? I would tend to think think this
causes
confusion (akatastasia) and runs close to (II Peter 1:20) being a private
interpretation (epilusis).
