Torquemada reminded his readers that Mary & the apostles were Jews. The
remarks of those he denounces, the leaders of the Toledo uprising with
its attack on the converts, he interprets as an undiscriminating attack on
all those of Jewish stock. He also points out contemporary heresies, like
the Fraticelli of Fabriano, to hiumble those of gentile stock when they
claim too much for themselves.
