I am giving a workshop on Critical Appraisal for family planners
later this month.
I am looking for examples of studies in contraception that might
highlight particular points, e.g. intention to treat analysis in the
recent WHO RCT of progestogen-only emergency contraception (they got
it wrong), all the recent case control and cohort studies on MI and
VTE risks of the combined pill and possible biases.
Any ideas? Topical or influential studies are the best.
The workshop is for the Inaugural Meeting of the Clinical
Effectiveness Unit of the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive
Health Care, London being held in Cheltenham on 27th September.
Thanks,
Paul
