We've just opened in a new library in Leamington which has a Windows NT
local
area network.
The network uses a cache memory system which means a copy is taken of
the CDs,
rather than using the CDs themselves.
To use the CDs, we've had to obtain copyright permissions from
publishers or
suppliers to both cache CDs and run them on a network.
Have you come across any libraries who
are running the 1851/1881 Census CDs or any other Mormon CDs on a
network? Salt
Lake City is very slow in replying, and the Family History Service
Centre in
Sutton Coldfield can't make that decision.
I'd appreciate any help you can offer.
