Right I won't appear for an organization that does not provide access.
It is, however, important not to use right to access for anything but
access. First, the issue about making a record for ASBH is that the
organization needs to get permission of all speakers to do so. They will
try, but can't if even one speaker demurs. Second, however, that rule
doesn't apply to the record of a captioner BECAUSE that record belongs to
the individual for whom captioning was done. To use the record for some
other purpose would jeopardise the agreement that always holds both for
captioning and for alternative formats of print material - namely, that
the PWD will usr the material for personal access only. This is why
copyright is waived for materials used for access.
