Speaking of English and New English Puritans and apocalypticism (components
of the recent thread "mysticism & apocalypticism"): Over the past decade I
have studied American apocalypticism and now in order to contextualize
Puritan New England apocalyptic discourses, I am studying late medieval
English vernacular apocalypticism and would like to travel to England in
summer 2000 to engage with other scholars and with textual resources to do
so. Are any list members or colleagues of list members interested in
taking me under their wings? Is anyone considering hosting a summer
seminar in England on the topic?
