I've blanked out and need help finding an anecdote--the one about
the nun who incautiously ate a lettuce without blessing it first and
thereby accidentally ate a little demon (who afterwards complained that
it wasn't HIS fault...). I can't remember in what collection of exempla
I read it--anywhere from Gregory the Great and Gregory of Tours to
Caesarius of Heisterbach and Etienne de Bourbon. Anyone recall offhand?
