Dear List,
For many neurological therapeutic problems only low grade evidence exists.
We are left with trying to make the best of this evidence and weeding out
the bad from the worst.
I would appreciate any thoughts or pointers on two issues:
1) Are there any guides or parameters for assessing methodological quality of
non-RCT evidence?
2) In my mind, retrospective cohorts and case-series bear more similarities
than distinctions. For definition (and perhaps grading) purposes, what are
the essential distinguishing features between case-series and retrospective
cohorts?
Thanks in advance
Sam Wiebe
