I think she must mean me! A quick trawl through the mental database - as
well as Llanfihangel Nant Melan, there's Llanfihangel Rhydithon,
Michaelchurch-on-Arrow, just over the border Michaelchurch Escley - all on
streams - and the most extreme example, near Cardiff, Michaelston-le-Pit! I
don't have Melville richards to hand, but the only hilltop sites I can call
to mind are St Michael's Chapel on top of the skirrid, near Abergavenny
(lots of interesting local traditions about the Fall of Lucifer and the
Crucifixion) and Llanfihangel Tor-y-Mynydd ('on the roof of the mountain'),
which is not actually that high up but in eastern Monmouthshire.
